Report: Broncos have Ohio State RB in for a visit before NFL Draft

The Denver Broncos need a running back in the 2025 NFL Draft.

That’s not exactly a secret.

Javonte Williams is gone to Dallas, and neither Jaleel McLaughing nor Audric Estime look like backs who can shoulder the load week in and week out.

With free agency wrapping up, and the Broncos not inking a running back (yet), the logical conclusion is they’ll draft one in the first couple rounds at the end of April.

Could Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins be the answer? Well, he was reportedly in the building at Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit this week.

“A 30 visit” means that Denver used one of their 30 allowed visits with college prospect on Judkins. It’s good for head coach Sean Payton, GM George Paton and others to get to know players they have interest in potentially selecting.

And Judkins was quite good for the Buckeyes in 2024, including helping them win a national championship with 100 yards rushing and two touchdowns against Notre Dame.

Overall, Judkins carried the football 194 times for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns. He shared the backfield with TreVeyon Henderson, who could also be a target for the Broncos. Judkins spent 2022 and 2023 at Ole Miss, where he had huge seasons, going for more than 2,700 rushing yards combined and scoring 31 touchdowns.

Judkins is projected to go in the second-round or third-round, so Denver likely wouldn’t have to spend the No. 20 overall pick to secure his services, but perhaps could take him a little later on. That would allow the Broncos to potentially take the best player available in Round 1.

This is something to keep an eye on, as Judkins might be bound for the Mile High City permanently, provided the visit went well.
